Albegna is the ground-floor apartment in the main house at Podere Sant'Angelo. French windows open directly onto a spacious 21 m² covered portico facing west, with views across the private garden towards the Albegna Valley.
Inside, traditional Tuscan details are combined with modern comforts. The living area has a traditional masonry kitchen with a marble sink, dining table and sofa. The large bedroom has a double bed and a fold-down single bed, while the spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower.
The private garden is surrounded by hedges, giving Albegna a particularly private feel. Large windows are fitted with traditional wooden scuri, which can be closed completely to exclude the light and help keep the bedroom dark at night.
The west-facing portico is one of Albegna's special features. It provides a generous covered space for outdoor dining and relaxing, even when the weather is less than perfect. In summer, it is also a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the Albegna Valley.
Albegna is particularly suited to you if you want:

Capitorio occupies part of our 300-year-old stone barn, just 30 metres from the main house. Inside, its traditional Tuscan character is immediately apparent, with 5-metre-high ceilings, chestnut beams and terracotta floor tiles.
The light and airy bedroom has a double bed and a fold-down single bed. Traditional wooden scuri can be closed to keep the bedroom dark at night.
The living area has a traditional masonry kitchen with a marble sink, together with a fireplace, dining area and sofa. French doors open onto the private west-facing terrace, where there is a dining table and large parasol. The terrace is surrounded by a fragrant lavender hedge which attracts bees and other insects when in flower.
From the terrace there are extensive views west across the Albegna Valley, making it a lovely place to sit and enjoy the summer sunsets. There is also a second parasol in the private garden.
Capitorio is south facing, so it receives more direct sunlight, particularly during the cooler months. This makes it a particularly attractive choice for spring and autumn stays, when the extra sunshine can make a real difference to how warm and bright the cottage feels.
Capitorio is particularly suited to you if you want:

Zolferate occupies the other part of our 300-year-old stone barn, 30 metres from the main house. It is the most private and secluded of our three cottages.
Inside, it shares the traditional character of the old barn with Capitorio, including 5-metre-high ceilings, chestnut beams and terracotta floor tiles.
The bedroom looks out onto the secluded private garden and has a double bed and a fold-down single bed. Traditional wooden scuri can be closed completely to exclude the light, helping to keep the bedroom dark for a good night's sleep.
The living room has a well-equipped traditional kitchen corner with a masonry worktop and marble sink, together with a fireplace. French windows open onto the private terrace and garden, with views towards Monte Labbro and across the Albegna Valley.
Zolferate faces north-west and receives less direct sunlight than Capitorio. In summer, this can make it an appealing choice if you prefer more shade and a cooler-feeling outdoor setting during the hottest part of the day.
Its secluded position also makes Zolferate particularly appealing if privacy and peace are your priorities.
Zolferate is particularly suited to you if you want:

All three are surrounded by the same peaceful Tuscan countryside, with the Albegna Valley stretching out below Podere Sant'Angelo. The choice really comes down to which combination of privacy, sunlight, traditional character, outdoor space and views best suits the kind of stay you are looking for.
Zolferate is the most private and secluded of the three cottages at Podere Sant'Angelo. It is in the old stone barn, 30 metres from the main house, and has a particularly secluded private garden. Albegna and Capitorio also offer a high degree of privacy, and all three cottages have their own private outdoor space.
Zolferate is a good choice in summer if you prefer more shade and less direct sunlight. It faces north-west and receives less direct sunlight than Capitorio, which can make its outdoor setting feel cooler during the hottest part of the day.
Albegna can also be particularly appealing in summer, with its large west-facing covered portico providing shade for outdoor dining and relaxing, as well as views of the summer sunsets over the Albegna Valley.
Capitorio is particularly attractive in spring and autumn. It faces south, so it receives more direct sunlight during the cooler months, helping to make the cottage feel bright and welcoming. It also has a fireplace for cooler evenings.
All three cottages have views across the Albegna Valley, but the outlook is slightly different from each.
Albegna has spectacular valley views from its west-facing covered portico and private garden. Capitorio looks west across the valley from its private terrace. Zolferate has views towards Monte Labbro as well as across the Albegna Valley.

Albegna is the ground-floor apartment in the main house at Podere Sant'Angelo. Capitorio and Zolferate occupy the two halves of a 300-year-old stone barn, 30 metres from the main house.
The two barn cottages have 5-metre-high ceilings, chestnut beams, terracotta floors and fireplaces, giving them a particularly strong sense of traditional Tuscan character.
Albegna combines traditional Tuscan details, including a masonry kitchen and marble sink, with a large 60 m² covered portico overlooking the Albegna Valley.
Albegna, Capitorio and Zolferate are each one-bedroom cottages with a double bed and a fold-down single bed. Each can accommodate two adults plus one child up to 12 years old.
