Our holiday apartment Albegna is situated 700 metres high in the hills of the Maremma, southern Tuscany. This charming self-catering cottage combines modern comfort with traditional Tuscan style. The high ceilings, terracotta floors and large windows create a bright, airy atmosphere. The characterful brick-built kitchen with stone sink and modern appliances invites you to prepare local dishes using fresh ingredients from the region.

Ideal for couples who love peace, nature and the outdoors. From the apartment you can set out on beautiful walks directly from Podere Sant’Angelo, or explore the surrounding hills by e-bike (available for hire in Roccalbegna).

Through the French doors, you step directly into your private garden with sun loungers and views over the Albegna Valley. Under the spacious covered portico (21 m²), you can enjoy a glass of wine, a relaxed meal or a barbecue on the Weber grill as the sun slowly sets behind the hills.

In the evening, the view is magical – the silence of the countryside and a sky full of stars make this the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

The well-tended Mediterranean garden of Podere Sant’Angelo, with lavender, rosemary and old roses, enhances the sense of space, peace and harmony with nature.

Albegna accommodates two adults (plus one child up to 12 years old). A cot and high chair are available for younger guests.

Your host lives on site, welcomes you personally in English and is happy to share tips about walking routes, local restaurants and nearby producers.

Good to know: Podere Sant’Angelo lies off the main road network. You reach the holiday home after about three kilometres on a well-maintained strada bianca (an unmade gravel road) typical of the Tuscan countryside – ensuring peace, privacy and authentic rural charm.
